Portrait

This project is of me holding up a peace sign. I created this by making grids to help me make sure everything is proportional. The techniques I used to create this portrait was shading to make the shadows and values in my face. The materials I used to create this were pencils, an eraser, and a ruler. The elements I used to create this portrait was value and highlight. The principles I used were contrasting dark and light and contrasting textures. I used contrasting dark and light to make the shadows and highlights. I also used contrasting textures because there are different texture in the portrait. I learned how to use value in the portrait and I also learned how to draw hands. I can incorporate this in future projects because I will know how to create hands and I will be able to create value better.
