Movement and Rhythm
This artwork is showing the principle movement and rhythm. The type of movement in this artwork is recorded action. The types of rhythm in this artwork are unexpected in the UNC section and regular in the Duke section. I created this by printing out a picture of a Duke women's basketball player and gluing her like she's shooting a 3 pointer. I also cut out 5 basketballs to make the recorded action part of the artwork. For the basketball court I made a 3 point line, the free throw line, and the basketball hoop. When I made the student sections I made one side Duke and the other UNC. The techniques I used to make this was to make the basketball court as realistic and neat as possible. While creating this I used glue, colored pencils, markers, and Sharpies. For the principle I used in this artwork is shape and form because of shape of the court and student sections. During this project I learned how to incorporate different movement and rhythm into one art piece. In future I will be able to make movement and rhythms in an artwork to make it interesting and fun.
