Value Project

Value Project

This artwork is showing value in 3D figures. I created this artwork by looking for the core shadow, cast shadow, and the highlight. I used the value scale to see how dark or light the shadows should be. The techniques I used while making this project were making the figures look 3D and also making them have their life like features. I also used smooth shading to get the shadows. During this project I used a lamp to making the shadows, a pencil, and a eraser. The elements I used in this artwork are unity for each of the 3D figures and contrast in textures. I used unity in  this project because each one of these figures are different from one another. I also used contrast in textures because of the different lighting each figure look different. The principles I used in this artwork are outlines of the figures, the different shapes and forms, and perspective. I used perspective to create depth by shading. During this project I learned how to use perspective and value. In future projects if I need to incorporate perspective and value I will know how to.
